so my girlfriend just enlisted into the marines.

...so there's that.

i can't really be mad at her, i mean, her means for doing it is to secure a future for both of us, but it's gonna be uber tough. at this point i don't even know how to feel. we've been together for three years.

it's a bit upsetting. *sigh*

so what do i do now?

I wonder if it'll be harder for you-since you've been together so long- than it is/will be for me and my... boyfriend. My mom keeps telling me that these three months he's in bootcamp are my chance to learn more about him and stuff... :/

That has to be really stressful. I guess all you can do is hope for the best. And remember that Marines are very good about taking care of their own, so the people she's with will do their best to keep her safe.
